This course introduces us to the life and teachings of the renown 13th century poet, Mawlana Jalāl ad-Dīn Muhammad Rūmī. At the essence of his teachings, Mawlana Rumi teaches us the key to living a meaningful life and having an honorable death. Throughout his works, he emphasizes the importance of detaching oneself from this world and everything therein. This course will introduce Mawlana Rumi's own story as an exemplar of living a life of selflessness, dying honorably, and ultimately ready to embark on the eternal journey to meet his Lord.
