Based on the “Isagoge” of Imam Athīr al-Dīn al-Abharī, this course will introduce students to the science of logic, a prerequisite before serious study of any of the other sciences. In this course students will be introduced to terms, concepts, the five predicable s, definitions, propositions, opposition, conversion, syllogisms, and other basic aspects of correct thinking.
